Hi Cathy,
With reference to the news article about the Catholic Bishop who told people to basically get over sexual abuse by catholic priests. The cardinal who made this remark is George Pell. I first encountered this cardinal, back in 2005 on the following interview:

Thought you might be interested in this interview with an Australian journalist at the time of the new pope being selected back in 2005. When I saw this interview I could not believe what he said about The Holy Spirit, even the jounalist questioned him over this blasphemous remark.

I put little confidence in anything of spiritual worth coming from Roman Catholic leaders who tell others to worship idols (Mary, saints), who take mass (killing and eating god on a regular basis through wafers and wine), who disobey the Word of God ('call no man father'), who teach traditions of men rather than the Word of God (purgatory, limbo, confession to a priest for forgiveness of sin, vain repetitious prayers) and so worth.

Again, if folks would simply read the Bible and obey it as the Holy Spirit teaches, they would see the error in false religions which are leading them straight to hell - quite tragic indeed.

May the Truth be revealed, may the lies be exposed, may the deceived wakeup, may the sinner repent, may the lost get saved and may the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified I pray - amen!

blessings,
Cathy
