BAUBLITS DRIVE in 2005
The above photos were taken over 3 months ago right after Hurricane Ivan hit and today these homes still look the same. It is a very beautiful area normally and residents say they like it because it is peaceful and quiet. They talk about watching dolphins in the bayou or the Blue Angel jets over the pines taking off from Sherman Field. But it's hard to see that now. Ivan's storm surge flooded the entire waterfront area which came chest high in some homes. This morning I walked along this street and prayed for the families - it is quite sobering to still see so much devastation. My daughter says she will never stay for a catagory 3+ hurricane again and others that rode out the storm can't even talk about it without getting emotional. What is God saying to us?

TSUNAMI UPDATE - read this VERY cool article: "British 'angel' saved hundreds from tsunami with classroom knowledge"
